The New Royalty Cinema

C4A 2019 Certificate 750pxCinema returned to Bourne End with the opening of The New Royalty Cinema in 2018. This Community Cinema project has monthly screenings in the May Woollerton Hall at Bourne End Community Centre. Everyone is welcome and tickets can be purchased online or in advance at the Community Centre Office or on the door if seats are available.

The New Royalty received commendation in the Cinema For All Film Society of the Year Awards 2018 and again in 2019 for Best New Society. As we are no longer "new" we cannot be commended again!

The New Royalty Cinema is a Community Cinema run by volunteers from Bourne End Community Association. The New Royalty Cinema is a member of Cinema For All and is a fund raising event for Bourne End Community Association.

 

 

 

 

 

20190124 HIdden FiguresFor our first 2019 screening we will be showing Hidden Figures at The New Royalty Cinema on Thursday 24th January. This is the story of 3 black human computers working in for NASA at the peak of the space race and in a racially divided society.

20181230 Cirque Du SoleilFor our Christmas screening we will be showing Cirque Du Soleil - Worlds Away at The New Royalty Cinema on Sunday 30th December. If you have never seen a Cirque Du Soleil show then this movie will be a chance to check out what the fuss is all about. If you have seen a Cirque show before then you will experience a collection of the highlights from some of the shows many of which can never tour.

The Greatest Showman

The Greatest Showman will be screened at The New Royalty Cinema on Friday 23rd November 2018. This is a biographical musical about young Phineas T. Barnum's life as a child, entrepreneur, museum owner, circus producer, and entertainment producer.

the producersThe Producers (best Oscar for Mel Brooks' Writing, Story and Screenplay) will be screened at The New Royalty Cinema on Thursday 25th October 2018. This original 1967 version casts the unusual yet hilarious combination of Zero Mostel as Max Bialystock, a has been Broadway Producer, with Gene Wilder (Oscar nominated for his performance) as neurotic accountant Leo Bloom.

Darkest Hour with Academy Award winner Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill will be screened at The New Royalty Cinema on Sunday 30th September. Within days of becoming Prime Minister, Winston Churchill must face one of his most turbulent and defining trials: exploring a negotiated peace treaty with Nazi Germany, or standing firm to fight for the ideals, liberty and freedom of a nation.
