The New Royalty Cinema

C4A 2019 Certificate 750pxCinema returned to Bourne End with the opening of The New Royalty Cinema in 2018. This Community Cinema project has monthly screenings in the May Woollerton Hall at Bourne End Community Centre. Everyone is welcome and tickets can be purchased online or in advance at the Community Centre Office or on the door if seats are available.

The New Royalty received commendation in the Cinema For All Film Society of the Year Awards 2018 and again in 2019 for Best New Society. As we are no longer "new" we cannot be commended again!

The New Royalty Cinema is a Community Cinema run by volunteers from Bourne End Community Association. The New Royalty Cinema is a member of Cinema For All and is a fund raising event for Bourne End Community Association.

"A Hundred-Foot Journey" and it's not just the protagonists in the movie who will embark on a journey, but so will you. You will laugh, you will smile, you will wonder, and you will be immersed in the surroundings of a picturesque small town in the mountains of France where two beautiful (and delicious!) cultures clash, mingle, and eventually harmonize.

An "as live" screening of Christmas with André - André Rieu's 2021 festive concert which will be shown on Thursday 30th December starting at 14:00 and 18:30. This presentation is only available in cinemas.

Stephen Daldry's first film is charming, funny at times, dramatic, tragic, and in the end, brilliant. Billy Elliot will be screened on Sunday 21st November 2021 at 14:30.

20211017 My Cousin Rachel

Film adaptation of the Daphne Du Maurier novel about a young Englishman who plots revenge against his late cousin's mysterious, beautiful wife, believing her responsible for his death. But his feelings become complicated as he finds himself falling under the beguiling spell of her charms. My Cousin Rachel will be screened on Sunday 17th October 2021 at 14:30.

20210815 Philomena

Probably the best kept secret of WWII was the code breaking work done at Bletchley Park. The Imitation Game, staring Benedict Cumberbatch, tells the story of how the imfamous Enigma Code was broken.  Nominated for 8 Oscars. The Imitation Game will be screened on Sunday 19th September 2021 at 14:30.

This screening has been cancelled. If you have purchased tickets we will contact you regarding a full refund. Philomena Lee having been forced to give up her son almost 50 years previously, joins forces with journalist Martin Sixsmith on a journey to find him. Starring Judi Dench and Steve Coogan, directed by Stephen Frears. Philomena, nominated for 4 Oscars and 3 BAFTAs, will be screened on Sunday 15th August at 14:30.

The screenings of 42nd Street, as live from the Theatre Royal Dury Lane have been rescheduled and we have a few tickets available. The legendary Broadway musical has been filmed at the Theatre Royal so you can see one of the favourite West End shows without leaving Bourne End. Final screening on 18th July at 18:30.

The screening of Emma. has been rescheduled. Jane Austen's beloved comedy about finding your equal and earning your happy ending is reimagined. Handsome, clever, and rich, Emma Woodhouse is a restless queen bee without rivals in her sleepy little town. Screening is on 18th July at 14:30.
