May Woollerton Hall thumbnailThe May Woollerton Hall forms the focal point for major events taking place at The Community Centre and is an ideal location for weddings, parties, theatrial performances and larger celebrations.

The stage area can be used by musicians, disco, or the curtains can be closed to provide a backdrop for displays. A range of facilities are available - a kitchen, toilet facilities, different lighting effects and tables and chairs provided. Open the doors in the hall and there is a large grassed area and patio, with contemporary tables and chairs. Ideal for summer weddings and parties. The patio is a space to sit and relax, to have a barbecue or somewhere for young guests to enjoy being outside. Use of the patio is included when hiring the May Woollerton Hall and the Centre Bar is also available for your guests.

The Community Centre's own drama and music players sections stage productions throughout the year and the facilities are also booked for concerts, visiting drama groups, opera, music hall and dance.

Designed for theatrical shows there is access backstage to dressing rooms, the stage and scene-dock. Full electronic lighting and sound equipment ensures a show can be set up swiftly and efficiently.

 Seating capacities of the May Woollerton Hall

PresentationOrTheatreStyle 100

We can supply various seating plans for Theatre or Presentation room layouts.
These can accomodate up to 250 seats.

 Cabaret 100 This seating style is suitable for Cabaret / Revue with the audience seated around tables. The hall can hold up to approx 150 seats in this style. This is also a Style used by weddings
 Dancing 100 This seating style is often used for family parties having limited seating around the perimeter of the hall leaving room for dancing in the middle. The numbers will vary depending on the layout you require but a typical layout could allow around 180 people for dancing and 80 - 100 seats. Remember if your party is in the summer, the halls backs out onto a patio which can be used as a "chill out" area.
