February's centreTalk will be by film and TV extra, Andrew Bustin, who will talk about his life as an Extra.
Andy started in the film industry in the mid 1990's whilst still in full time employment and has met, and worked with, many famous people along the way. His talk includes a lot of background information on the way TV programmes, films and adverts are made, and the different approaches adopted by the Film Companies to achieve the final product, interspersed with examples of the work he has been involved with and amusing incidents that have happened.
He has also appeared on stage, in many amateur productions, and in 8 Television quizzes. In his talk he will show several TV adverts in which he has appeared. Do you remember the particular ads, and can you spot him? Scenes from a Major Feature film in which he worked with Brad Pitt, again can you spot him? And background information on Eastenders, Holby City and Midsomer Murders, all of which work in totally different ways to achieve the end product.
He will talk about things like Continuity, and errors that he (and others more famous than him), have made. How much filming is actually achieved in a day, and how many people are used to achieve that. What actually happens on a film set and will answer all those burning questions you may have if you have ever witnessed filming being undertaken.
