Here is the August/September issue of Bourne End's community magazine "Target"

.

Good news stories feature on the front page of this summer issue. Changes to the Local Plan now protect a Green Belt hillside between Bourne End and Wooburn Green. Then there’s a new young signing at Fulham Football Club who lives in Wooburn and an honour for local resident Cerys Matthews with the award of an OBE for services to music.

Lots going on at the Community Centre and advance notice of the 2027 pantomime. It’s Cinderella – oh yes it is. And there’s a chance to be part of the show by attending one of the auditions taking place in September. Also worth noting is another Volunteers Fair at the end of September.

Finds on Slate Meadow have come to light during the archaeological dig and you can read about them on page 12. More to be uncovered as work continues while the developers have to wait to start digging. Wooburn Festival features on page 13 and you can find their full programme on the back page.

River Time is on page 23 when Captain Beaky introduces readers to two spectacular boats plying their trade along the River Thames. A report on Claytonbury, with photos, features on page 26 and it was a great day out in the sunshine.
