Sorry you have missed this centreTalk. Most people when they hear "Abbey Road" immediately think of The Beatles but the studios have been used by top artists ever since Edward Elgar made the first recording there in 1931.
Cliff Richard, The Shadows, Pink Floyd, The Hollies, Cilla Black, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Deep Purple, Kate Bush, Genesis, Wings, Al Stewart, Duran Duran and the list goes on. Ken Townsend was at Abbey Road for 42 years starting as an engineer and retiring as General Manager.

Ken will give us the opportunity to share his reminisences and stories from his time at Abbey Road including working on the Sgt. Pepper album 50 years ago this year. Ken invented ADT recording which was extensively used on the album Revolver and a technique still used today.
