February's meeting welcomes Phil Isherwood to talk about "Free Antiquarian Resources on the Internet". This meeting is on Tuesday 11th February in the Eghams Room at Bourne End Community Centre.

Through the Internet it’s possible to access thousands of antiquarian (i.e. copyright expired) books that can enrich your family history research and provide access to resources and information not available elsewhere. This talk describes and demonstrates the four main sites for accessing these resources: Google Books, Hathi Trust, Internet Archive and FamilySearch Digital Library, showing the types of resources that can be found and sharing a top 40 of resource recommendations.

Phil is a contributor to Family Tree magazine, a Family History Advisor for Oxfordshire Family History Society and a co-founder of Pro-Am Genies, a networking group for professional and aspiring and pro genealogists. He has worked in the software industry for over 30 years and brings a passion for best-practice methods and innovative technology to his genealogical research.
