Led by trombonist Simon Wyld, The Louisiana Rhythm Kings is a great band of talented and experienced jazz musicians playing both well-loved and forgotten jazz numbers in the true Dixieland style. centreJazz is on Tuesday 7th September.
Expect to hear some of the traditional numbers such as Riverboat Shuffle, Way Down Yonder in New Orleans, Bourbon Street Parade, Runnin’ Wild and others, and maybe a few of the more modern tunes such as that Sonny Rollins classic “Saint Thomas”. centreJazz in the May Woollerton Hall at the Community Centre, entrance £7 with drinks at very reasonable prices.
