Front page of the issue is packed with smiley faces. They are at the day care centre which has appointed new service providers also in The Old Bell at a Christmas Lunch for Wooburn residents.

There's a snownote on page two along with an appeal to readers that they should pay for their Target and providing a special offer if readers sign up for two years.







Farewells were said to a popular doctor on page 7 as Mike Wolfin left the practice at Hawthornden for pastures new. Then on page 9 bursary winner Oliver Meadowcroft led sailors at the Upper Thames Sailing Club.

Co-op cash for local projects featured on page 11 as the Community Centre got funding for new chairs while the local Guides received money for improvements to their headquarters.

Fun Night pictures graced page 14 while on page 16 there were pictures from a festive tea party. News of a Cinema project at the Community Centre appeared on page 23 while there were two Take Your Target items on page 28.
